Inkberrow, the village, is located on the A422, 10 miles from Worcester and 13 miles from Stratford Upon Avon (and only 5 miles from Redditch and Alcester respectively). The village has a population of approximately 1500 and lies in the north eastern corner of Worcestershire. It is often associated with being the model for Ambridge, the setting for BBC Radio 4's, The Archers.
Inkberrow Football Club was established in its current form in 1978, providing an opportunity to play and watch football for local people, in both a friendly and competitive atmosphere. The junior section was established in 2000 in response to demand from local children to play well organised football in a safe and happy environment. Emphasis is on fun, learning and building friendships, with positive encouragement from coaches and parents alike. In 2005 the junior and seniors sections combined to form a single club providing football for all, irrespective of age, sex or disability. The club provides football for all and has a league and cup winning girls team which goes from strength to strength. Overall the club now provides football to over 180 children and adults, and has started over the last 2 years hosting an extremely successful Junior Football Respect Festival, which this year (2014) saw 37 teams from around Worcestershire compete in, and was sponsored by the Worcestershire FA.
  • U8 - U18 (various leagues) - Evesham Ambassador, Mercian, Coventry & Warwicks & Midland Junior Premier
  • 1st XI Senior - Midland Football League Division 3
  • 2nd XI Senior - Stratford Upon Avon Herald Alliance Division 2
  • Sunday XI - Evesham & District Sunday League Football Division 1
In recognition of the club's high achievements in administration and coaching, the junior club was awarded "Chartered Standard" status by the FA in 2004 and currently working closely with the Worcestershire FA to achieve Development Club Status. The club has received further recognition by receiving both the county and regional awards for best Charter Standard Club.
The speed with which the club has grown has been exceptional and its philosophy has been at the heart of its expansion. It has quickly built a reputation for quality and equality.
